Rainforest Nature Hike

After an approximate scenic one-hour drive you will arrive at the forest and our experienced guides will give you a brief orientation, advise you on safety procedures and distribute packs and water.

The Federal Park, which encompasses the El Yunque Rain forest, consists of 28,000 acres and is of great importance due to its vast array of tropical plants and trees. Your guide will take you along the forest trail where the fresh air will overtake your senses and the sights and sounds of the wind and water will relax your mind. Throughout the walk our guides will give you information relating to the amounts of rainfall, as well as history, climate, flora and fauna of the rain forest. A stop is made at the Mameyes River where you can relax in the shade of a tree or may like to wade into the inviting natural pool to cool off from your hike.

This excursion is only suitable for those in good physical condition. Remember to wear footwear suitable for hiking over rough, uneven and wet ground.
